I love all of the connections I have with clients. Lindsey and I met last year, and I’m not exactly sure how, but she is the cousin of one of my husband’s friends from high school. And somehow that connected us, social media is an amazing thing! I have loved watching Lindsey’s sweet family from the screen of my iPhone for awhile now and when she reached out needing some family pictures I was thrilled! Her husband, Randy, and her have such a sweet, beautiful family, their three kids made my heart so full.
The day of the shoot I connected with Lindsey that morning and the weather looked great. But since we do live in the Pacific NorthWest I should have known better. As I was loading my car up with my gear and vintage quilts I noticed the sky looked a little dark. And driving to our location it started to rain, lightly at first, and then consistently. Once we got to the location I grabbed some umbrellas, Lindsey grabbed hers, and we set off to find some trees. By the time we got set up and were ready to start shooting the rain had pretty much stopped and even though we didn’t have glorious summer sun we were still able to create beautiful photographs for them!
I think it should be a thing that it’s good luck when it rains on your photo shoot day! I’d have a lot of lucky clients then!
I am so in love with these photos, and I can’t wait to watch this family grow over the years! Now, can we please have sun??
